I'm in the very early stages of preparing a campaign to try to run in the 2016 election for US President. I'll be doing it as a transhumanist for the Transhumanist Party, a political organization I recently founded that seeks to use science and technology to radically improve the human being and the society we live in.
What will it be like to be a 70, 80, 90, 100-year-old woman in the future? Let's imagine 'Nina' in decades ahead. Nina, whose husband died three years ago, lives in her own one-story home, in a pleasant intergenerational community, having made the decision to 'age in place.' Her house is close to the village center where she's on a first name basis with the merchants in all the shops.
So here I sit, surrounded no longer by the four walls of a private office but instead by entrepreneurs looking to create the next hot, disruptive thing, whether it's for-profit here in America or transforming healthcare in the developing world. So which wise guys or wise gals teleported me into the future?
