Gabe Kapler said he'll remain in the clubhouse for the anthem "until I feel better about the direction of our country."
"I wanted to demonstrate my dissatisfaction with our clear systemic racism in our country," said Kapler, whose team protest received scorn from Donald Trump.
The team hired Mark Hallberg and Alyssa Nakken as assistant coaches, rounding out the Giants' 13-person coaching staff.
