Tebow frustrated with Florida's offensive problems

AP | MARK LONG | Posted 05.25.2011

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is frustrated. He's tired of the interceptions, the sacks and the red-zone struggles.

Although the top-ranked Gators are still undefeated heading into Saturday's game against Georgia, Tebow admits he would like to have "prettier" wins. But he adds that, "If they're all ugly, that's OK. We'll be undefeated."

Tebow also apologized Monday for blowing off postgame interviews following Saturday's 29-19 victory at Mississippi State. Tebow says he wanted to hang out with family and former position coach, current MSU coach Dan Mullen.

Tebow says Mullen told him to go win another national championship.

For that to happen, though, the Gators probably need perform better near the goal line.

Meyer said Wednesday on the weekly Southeastern Conference teleconference that Tebow "looked terrific" when he saw him late Tuesday night.

"That's the best I've seen him," Meyer said.

Meyer also saw Tebow earlier Tuesday, when the coach went through balance and memory tests with his star player, and said he just looked OK.

Tebow spent Saturday night in a Kentucky hospital after sustaining a concussion during a third-quarter sack against the Wildcats. Tebow did not practice Monday or Tuesday.
