Slogans that do not help the market understand what companies do or what makes them unique are largely ineffective. Even worse, if they make hard to believe claims, they can cause prospective buyers to not trust the company. Once trust is gone, sales and profits head south.
As people work to make money on Main Street, insurance plays a key role in making sure that an illness, fire, or accident does not put them out of business and that the financial goals for families and charities are met if the person who set the goals dies before they are achieved.
Whose plan gets my nod, for bipartisan reality and feasibility, to save and improve our unique, innovative American health care system and not saddle our country with unsustainable debt? I vote for Senator Max Baucus.
