The patrol sent out a test message claiming authorities in Gotham City were searching for a purple and green 1978 Dodge -- the car used by the Joker in the 1989 "Batman" film.
The CW announced it was picking up the show, making Ruby Rose's character the first openly queer superhero in the title role of a live-action series.
