Inception is a visually dazzling, exceedingly intelligent, and possibly ingenious puzzle box. But, for the first time in a Chris Nolan film, I didn't have any real emotional investment in the characters.
Christopher Nolan never tries to dumb down anything for his audience. This complexity adds to the thrill of the film but audiences are so intent on figuring out the plot that they miss the emotional content.
