The most significant was a recurring dream that spanned 12 years. The tiger dream started when I was 6 years old and concluded just before I turned 18. This dream had such an impact on my life that it propelled me forward in a way I could only have imagined.
Just because I don't smile doesn't mean that I am unhappy. It just means that I am thinking about something that I consider important. It means that I am trying to find some space for myself in a public place.
Introverts listen more than they talk. So they know -- really know -- how their people are doing. They understand what makes people tick, they connect the dots between vignettes that people share and thread them to create a roadmap of the people they love.
You're probably going to have a lot of different jobs, and you'll get the best work by being able to show employers that you're not just someone who turns in work on time, but who contributes good ideas to discussions and is brave enough to disagree.
Even though our culture still favors the extroverts, I find it to be easier navigating in the world as an introvert. And it makes my heart sing that my introverted son gets to grow up without having to adjust as much as I had to. He gets to focus on his desires and strengths.
