When we first meet Frannie, the protagonist of writer-director Liz Tuccillo's debut feature, Take Care, she's fresh from the hospital, arm in a sling, leg in a brace, being wrangled from a cab by her sister and a friend.
There are laughs to be had in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, though they're inconsistent and haphazard. The whole movie has that sloppy feel, as though it were assembled from leftover parts of other, better comedies.
Iron Man 2, entertaining as it is, and I like it, is a big missed opportunity. It could have been a lighter version of The Dark Knight, exploring deeper themes in a pop context with a more congenial cast. Instead, it's confused.
