I want the Occupy Wall Street protestors to be better, smarter, more focused than they are. I also want them to succeed as street activists. The problem is that organizing demos, not to mention movements, is more complicated than it looks.
People no longer need political parties or interest groups or mass media to tell them how to think and what to do at the polls. There's an app for that -- or will soon be. And that is the real message behind the "occupations" sprouting up.
