Instead of rejecting and abandoning themselves by avoiding responsibility for their own feelings with various addictions, loving people take full responsibility for their own pain and joy so that they are not needy of someone doing this for them.
How can such a thing be? How can we love another so deeply and then find that love and connection to be gone, nowhere to be found? I believe it's because the connection wasn't at the level of the soul.
Sometimes it is very hard to have faith. The wounded part of ourselves is always devoted to controlling the outcome of things, so when things do not turn out the way we expected, we tend to feel abandoned by God.
Notice the peace and joy it gives you to be in this moment with this simple object of beauty. What would life be like if you spent more moments like this, in the present with beauty and with all you have? How much of your waking time is spent in this way?
The Internet is the way of the future for marketing one's products and services; however, I believe it goes far beyond that. I believe Facebook is such a popular phenomena because people are hungry for connection.
I am proposing recreation, or re-creation, as an essential, if undervalued, spiritual practice that can happen during vacation, but that can also take place within what we might describe as our "normal lives."
