all in all, we've become precious and perfectionistic about food to the extent that it almost seems not to count if we eat really well MOST of the time, while giving ourselves a break SOME of the time.
I'm not advocating dining and dashing (except on special occasions). Nor am I suggesting we return to the old ways of hunting and foraging for sustenance (a practice often referred to as "stealing" these days).
Planes these days stink. They never smelled too good to begin with, but now it's worse now than ever -- by virtually eliminating food on flights, airlines have created ethnic food warfare at 36,000 feet.
