Some see Kennedy's legacy as the roaring liberal lion, ready to express moral outrage. And surely he was that. But his lasting legacy may well be as the respected legislator who could reach across the aisle.
The fight for health care reform is a generation-defining struggle that must not waver, even with the loss of a great champion. I pledge to do my part and only hope that we can forge the next coalition to finally reach the shore.
