Before signing a bill granting compensation to 9/11 first responders, President Donald Trump bragged that he had “spent a lot of time” with them in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Dieter Kowalski, 40, of Denver and Kieran Shafritz de Zoysa, a fifth grader at Sidwell Friends in Washington, D.C., both died in Sunday's attacks.
"We were really lucky," team manager Khaled Mashud said.
The attacker fatally shot two policewomen and a bystander. Officials are investigating it as terrorism.
There's a familiar pattern in how the militant group takes credit for its terror.
