The bottom line is that we must admit dating apps are not a young person's game. They're a single person's game. For those over-40 daters who have come to me saying they are never going to find someone, that all the good men are taken, and that they would never stoop to the level of trying a dating app, I simply say, "Just swipe right and see."
I think I genuinely lasted an entire week without logging on to any of the sites. But one night, I'd had a crappy day at work and couldn't sleep. I lay in bed, thoughts racing through my head. Just a little Tinder wouldn't hurt. My phone beckoned -- no implored -- me to pick it up and swipe. So I did.
I wear big sunglasses when I am either in the sun (what a concept) or really hungover (in which case I am puffy with blood shot eyes and trying to hide as much of my face as possible). So if every picture is you with sunglasses on--you are either wildly insecure about how you look or uncomfortably unattractive.
