Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blasted comedian Bill Maher on Twitter Wednesday after learning of a slur he directed at her special needs son, Trig Palin.

If you watched the Palin interview and weren't scared out of your mind, then you're mentally ill. What you are not is responsible, informed, thoughtful, mature, educated, empathetic, or remotely serious.

A study found that voters evaluate women politicians more on beauty and approachability, while they look for competence and dominance in male politicians. If we're aware of this tendency, let's stop the senseless speculations.
