A letter Sheldon Whitehouse gave to Trump's attorney general nominee last week lays out several lines of questioning ahead of Barr's confirmation hearing Tuesday.
"I believe it is vitally important that the Special Counsel be allowed to complete his investigation," Barr said in prepared remarks made available to reporters.
There's no concrete plan for the deputy attorney general's departure, but he'll likely leave after the new attorney general is confirmed.
