Start doing the things that make you happy now. Don't wait for that magical day when you fit into a certain dress size or are satisfied with the number on the scales to book your holiday to the beach or buy that little black dress. Live like you have already reached your goal, you will be happy and it will be much easier to achieve.
Rather than asking yourself if a food is low-fat, low-carb or low-calorie, try asking yourself: Am I truly physically hungry? What sounds delicious to me right now? Is eating this food being loving to my body? What seems like a sane, moderate amount? Is this what I would serve someone else who does not diet or overeat?
Intuitive eating means learning to eat because you're physically hungry, not emotionally hungry because you are tired, bored, angry, depressed, or wanting connection. It's a powerful reworking of your relationship to weight loss, your body, how you deal with your emotions, as well as your relationship with food and eating.
