When you first see model Brittany Mason, you can't help but be captivated by her beauty, charm and infectious smile. When she enters a room, all heads turn and are drawn to her natural elegance, charisma and glow. I know because I could not take my eyes off her when she arrived at a mutual friend's party. Now, to put it in perspective, our mutual friend is a celebrity hair stylist and present at the party were some of the most beautiful models and celebrities on the planet (I will not name names because I don't want to hurt anyone's ego). Since I am a high school teacher, I couldn't help but feel out of place. However, even though all of these beautiful people were there, they are still people; I didn't even look twice. However, when Brittany Mason arrived late, she instantly stood out and, in my opinion, was the only person in the room.

There was just something about her and I had to talk to her. As I told my students, "I figured, if I got rejected, at least it would be by the most beautiful woman at the party. I can live with that." So, I took a deep breath, prayed, and went over to say hello. That "hello" changed everything. We spent the next hour not talking about superficial things but about our childhoods and how we were both bullied, especially after she found out that I was a teacher working on various anti-bullying campaigns. Brittany shared stories of her teenage years and how she was terrorized to the point where she considered taking her own life. Her story both broke and stole my heart. Brittany mentioned how she is launching an anti-bullying campaign called "I Am Possible" which is intended to empower youth through music and events. I thought she was beautiful before talking to her but, after hearing her story, I realized her outer beauty pales in comparison to her inner beauty.

Over the next week, Brittany and I met up to chat about our lives, passions, and missions to help encourage our youth so they don't have to feel less than what they truly are. During these inspiring conversations, I found out that Brittany Mason, a successful model and former Miss Indiana, never went to her senior prom. I was definitely shocked but I know the feeling because I never went to my senior prom either. So, I decided to ask Brittany to be my date to my school's prom. However, you can't just ask someone to prom anymore; you have to do a "promposal." So, with the help of my talented students, I made Brittany this promposal.

And, so you don't worry about her response, here is her reply to my promposal:

I was finally asked to #PROM 10 years later... Here's my answer. @NicholasFerroni https://t.co/fdYMxpikUx
