In 2011, the world is all about the media, we're constantly getting bombarded with stories about celebrities and their faux paus from breaking cameras, DUI, DWI's, overdosing in hotel rooms, scandals involving sleeping with the nanny, illegitimate kids with the nanny ... whatever ... every moment of every hour, some celebrity who really has no talent seems to do something stupid to dominate in the media.

When Paris Hilton got busted and sent back to Jail, they broke in during coverage of the Iraq war to show show live coverage of her sobbing in the back of a cop car -- this was more important than soldiers putting their lives at risk? And let's not forget the night Britney lost her mind and locked herself in the bathroom; there was no escaping coverage of this.

Hollywood scandals have always been a part of our world, going back to the 1920s, and there was media coverage but not to the extent it is now. Now its like a oxygen to us, we can't go a moment without our TMZ fix and the daily antics of the Hollywood scene.

Which brings me to the recent trials and tribulations of Lindsay Lohan, a constant fixture for the LA courthouse and national media attention. Every week this girl is in trouble for something: cocaine, DUI, reckless endangerment and a a bunch of other charges. For the past four years she's been in and out of the court system and each time, she's been given a slap on the wrist and sent on her merry way to party on Sunset Blvd.

Why? Because she had a semi career during the mid-2000s, that her last five movies flopped and had some connections, obviously enough to pay her for her lawyer who keeps saying she's a victim of circumstance and that with enough understanding from the court system, she'll straighten out her life.

She's been given more than enough opportunities, more than anyone else, just short of committing a murder.

If it were any other person, she'd have been in jail doing at least five years or more especially with the constant parole violations. It sickens me to think that people, especially high profile people, think they can get away and the rest of us have to comply with the laws? it's not right.

And yet we keep feeding into the mass, we support people like her by buying the tabloids, checking our gossip every 10 minutes. Maybe if we paid attention more to our own lives and let this chick fall on her face like natural selection does so well, then maybe we won't focus on the absurdity which is Lindsay Lohan.

And I don't understand why the great actors never get the attention they deserve because they simply don't shoplift, drink and drive or anything that requires the LAPD, actors who are just trying to make a living and a difference in the world but never get their chance and it's sad.

I for one am sick to death of those celebrities and socialites who act like like because they have a little bit of Daddy's money, think that world revolves around them and no one else. where's the culpability and accountability everyone's always talking about? What makes her so special that she can't take responsibility for her drug and alcohol problems?

Honestly I think I wouldn't be surprised if at her November 2nd hearing, she gets less than six months and when she does, the outcry will be heard because she's been down that road, with rehab, community service in the morgue and even time served in the Woman's Center. Nothing will get her to change her ways and despite everyone blaming her parents for not taking responsibility for her like Britney Spears' dad did for her but they're so screwed up they can't take responsibility for her and this is some ass backwards form of rebellion but you would think she would learn time and time again that she has to grow up and maybe get her life and career on track because at the rate she's going, she'll be washed up at 30 or dead.

Alright so I confess to watching Keeping up with the Kardashians, but those girls are on the right track; they have three businesses and although Khloe had a brief stint in the county jail, she straightened up and is doing amazing. I mention this because Lindsay was a guest at Kim Kardashian's wedding and could use some lessons on what being an adult is like.

So what do you about our celeb-crazed world? Are you just as sick of hearing about them as I am? Tell me what you think.
