Los Angeles based Ina Soltani presented her latest collection at Vibiana as part of L.A.'s Fashion Week. It was a breathtaking array of dresses, ranging from the severe to the romantic. The show was a remarkable journey of color and fabrics, a true carnival for the eyes. In her bio, Bosnian born Soltani "is strongly inspired by the dramatic narratives of her homeland." If anyone is familiar with the recent history of strife in Bosnia, one knows there's a lot of dramatic narratives to go around.

In this collection, Soltani took the audience on a journey: black leather and studs moved into colorful satin transforming into billowy gowns. The effect was dramatic, hopeful, and, ultimately, satisfying.
