A very rich and prominent middle aged man named Walter was having lunch with his friend Paul, and he recounted the following:

"I was walking alone in the country one afternoon, and I came across a talking frog. It asked me to pick it up, take it home, have it sit at the dinner table with me, and finally to sleep with it. When I woke up the frog had turned into a stunning thirteen year old girl."

"Paul, you do believe me don't you?" When Paul replied, "no I don't," Walter said "I can understand that, neither did the police."

In my career, I have been lied to by some of the best. When I caught my Columbia Pictures Television boss in a whopping lie, I went with him to get relief from the head of the entire Company. The "big boss" replying to my boss said: "I told you that he would find out."

The issue concerned only me, and there were no lives put in jeopardy because of the lie.

Not so when our President gets on a lying AND misleading roll.

The Presidents press conference Tuesday was one for the books. When David Gregory asked the President a question about Iran, the President replied"

"David, I don't want to contradict an August reporter such as yourself, but I was made aware of the NIE last week. In August, I think it was Mike McConnell came in and said, we have some new information. He didn't tell me what the information was; he did tell me it was going to take a while to analyze. Why would you take time to analyze new information? One, you want to make sure it's not disinformation. You want to make sure the piece of intelligence you have is real. And secondly, they want to make sure they understand the intelligence they gathered: If they think it's real, then what does it mean? And it wasn't until last week that I was briefed on the NIE that is now public."

Is there anyone in the entire world who could explain this WHOPPER? The frog story makes more sense then the Bush story.

How very sad it all is.
