A message for Ben Stein.

Ben, hyperbole means "obvious and intentional exaggeration, an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally."

Ben Stein's writings are like putting your tongue on a tooth that is hurting. I do not want to read what he writes yet I feel compelled to do so. It is as though he has managed to combine the ignorance of Sarah Palin with the idiocy and inflammatory style of Glenn Beck.

Here are some of his quotes with my comments.

"Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed? "

Ben, the President's bill bears little or no relationship to socialized medicine. How happy have you been, Ben, that fifty million more or less Americans are currently without health care? Perhaps he is "in such a hurry" because he understands what it is like to be sick and have no health care.

"Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths."

Cunning, is that a pejorative? Ben, cunning means "skill employed in a shrewd or sly manner, as in deceiving; craftiness; guile." Is Obama shrewd? Does he operate in a sly manner? Does he act with "craftiness?" And so forth?

"The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith."

Has Ben ever met a real ultra leftist? "Pig in a poke?" What more Ben could they have wanted to know about him than they did? Obama "crushed" McCain, did you ever manage to figure out why Ben? While I admit that President Obama is certainly no intellectual Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh or George Bush, he appears to be very smart.

"They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright."

Would Ben like to write about America's history concerning race? Ben, what are President Obama's anti-white writings? Ben, could we all see a few Quotes? The vast majority of Minister Jeremiah's "diatribes" are appropriate considering the racism in our country.

"They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator..."

Would Ben care to illustrate his ultra-left record, or would that be too much to ask? What exactly do you mean by his "ultra left record?" Ben, can we see some substance concerning his record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator..

"The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar..."

Would Ben care to illustrate his academic record, or would that be too much to ask? Of course Ben you admired the academic record of President Bush, Senator McCain, and of course lest we forget Governor Palin.

"Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East."

Had I only realized how bad the President is when you compare his record to that of Bush whom we all miss. When he is "too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East," would you Ben prefer he go to Crawford Texas and clear some brush instead.. super leftist? I have known a few and I can tell you that Obama is not a super leftist, whatever that is. He is "not a fan of this country"... Ben, can you give us a few examples of these things that are at least a little accurate to explain this?

"The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans."

Boy is Obama smart. Ben did Obama manage to come close to the Bush giveaways and eight years of war, reduced taxes and the doubling of our national debt?

"Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do."

Ben, my health care provided by the bureaucrats when I was in the United States Air Force was just great as it is with the VA and Medicare. Ben, will you share with us what YOU do when you need medical attention? Ben, can you please quote some of the language in "the Obama" health care bill that allows you to say what you do?

"The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away."

Ben, please tell us where this comes from? Can you comment on any part of your vast experience concerning health care?

"Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him. There is his urgency and our opportunity."

Ben, who is the "our opportunity" relating to?

"Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America."

That is a great line Ben. Please tell us what it means. What freedom have you and I lost since Obama replaced that GREAT President Bush who lied us into war and spied on us.
