According to dictionary.com a "Demagogue Is a person, esp. an orator or political leader, who gains power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people."

I am astonished by my reaction to our President pillorying those wonderful folks at AIG who either gave or received the now famous bonus payments.

It is my understanding that these payments were called for in agreements entered into and signed by the parties about one year ago.

I do seem to be all alone on this, but I object to President Obama as well as all of the other politicians who could find a television camera or a microphone who took personal objection to the company (AIG) honoring the deal that they had made with these executives.

It does not matter why these deals were made but they were entered into by the people in charge when they were in charge.

Wanna blame someone? How about the Congress, the President, and their Three Stooge managements assigned to "watch the store." Larry, Moe and Curley were asleep at the switch.

In the movie Casablanca Humphrey Bogart playing Rick asks Captain Renault played by Claude Rains "How can you close me up? On what grounds?" Renault replies "I'm shocked, shocked to find out that gambling is going on here."

In order to take advantage of the moment, I am shocked to find out how many "demagogues" work for the feds as well as the media.

Even after working for Movie Studios for so many years, I consider that "a contract is still a contract." Boy am I behind the times.

Boo, Hiss
