I Laughed So Hard I Started To Cry

How many times have you heard that, or lived it? I bet I've lived it a thousand times. And yet, try as I might I can't recall living that moment in reverse. I have never cried until I started to laugh. Until now, that is.

How many times have you heard that, or lived it? I bet I've lived it a thousand times. And yet, try as I might I can't recall living that moment in reverse. I have never cried until I started to laugh. Until now, that is.

Day to day, as it plays out, the political/social/economic scene invites my tears. The American people deserve so much more by way of steady, apolitical, selfless leadership than is being offered them from any direction. I could -- and do -- cry.

And then, through my tears, I see Donald Trump. He'd be grotesquely hilarious, if he wasn't so f------g dangerous. Still, my tears do not end in laughter.

Then, wonderously, in a stream of sex talk, a Bush (Billy) shows up.

Yeah, so? Mildly amusing if you think about it. Until, some days later, a Weiner (Anthony) enters the scene. At which point we have a Bush and a Weiner in the sex talk.

C'mon! We may still be in tears, but -- that's funny! And of course, as the media teaches us, a Weiner will trump a Bush every time. God just has to be a comedy writer.
