WHO: Richard Burr, US Senator (R-NC) and Doug Holtz-Eakin, Senior Policy Advisor, John McCain 2008
WHAT: Press conference call to discuss Senator Obama's speech on the economy today in North Carolina.
WHEN: Monday, June 9 at 1:45 p.m. EDT

SUMMARY
This call dismisses claims made by Senator Obama about Senator McCain's economic policies in his June 9th speech as campaign rhetoric. Senator Burr defends McCain's voting record and argues for the importance of tax cuts in keeping investment, and therefore jobs, in the United States. Doug Holtz-Eakin targets Obama for appointing Jim Johnson, described as "thoroughly entangled in the sub-prime mortgage" scandal, to vet vice presidential candidates.

Note: Due to technical difficulties, a small portion of the question and answer session of this call is missing.
