WHO: United States Senator Claire McCaskill, Admiral John Nathman
WHAT: Press conference call to discuss Energy Security and National Security
WHEN: TODAY, June 18, 2008 12:30 pm EST

SUMMARY
This call discusses McCain's energy policy as he campaigns in Missouri. Senator McCaskill calls his gas tax holiday a "gimmick" that would benefit foreign oil exporters and big oil, and criticizes McCain's flip-flopping on offshore drilling. Admiral Nathman contrasts McCain's short term positions with Obama's plans for "long-term leadership" in energy policy, stating he would pursue "right proportion and balance in biofuels..."make Detroit and nuclear power part of the answer" and ask citizens to "be more conservative with their use of gasoline and fuels."
