Don't Sound Stupid in Public: Read Foreign Policy Digest

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

What's the difference between Sunni and Shi'a Islam and why does that matter to Iraqi reconstruction?

What's the history of America's role in Middle East peace negotiations?

Why does the U.S. give billions of dollars in aid to Pakistan if they can't control their terrorists?

Will we ever see a United States of Africa?

What is NAFTA and how does free trade affect American jobs?

Is Islamic law a threat to international human rights?

When Sarah Palin needed to brush up on her knowledge of world affairs, her campaign staff organized study sessions with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Columbian President Alvaro Uribe, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and other world leaders.

You unfortunately don't have that option (not that it worked for anyway).

But what you can do is checkout Foreign Policy Digest, an online journal dedicated to explaining international affairs and global developments to the digital media generation. FPD publishes a monthly newsletter highlighting the stuff you should know about the world you live in. The articles are short (you can finish the entire newsletter in half the time it takes to read Section A of the New York Times), yet informative, and each one is written by a regional expert.

So take a minute and visit Foreign Policy Digest at www.foreignpolicydigest.org

Foreign Policy Digest is a great resource for anyone hoping to understand the important foreign policy issues and events of our time in a concise, well-written, and logical way. Before I read any long pieces I always go on this website to get a nice overview of the problem or event I am interested in knowing more about. It really provides a great road map!!
