8. Siem Reap, Cambodia

The Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap has become a major attraction over the years, so it can become quite crowded... but Siem Reap, and Cambodia in general, has luxurious and stunning accommodations, and extremely kind locals, that help to completely balance out the hectic, big crowds heading for Angkor Wat. The beautiful properties in Siem Reap successfully create quiet and tranquil oases, and it's this combination of the serene environment and the booming temple ruins that we believe make Siem Reap an ideal (and atypical) honeymoon getaway.
