Facebook co-founder and billionaire entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg announced today that Facebook will be launching a social networking site to compete with itself. According to Mr. Zuckerberg, the new site is meant to counteract Facebook's embarrassingly lopsided dominance.

Closing in on 700 million active users worldwide, Facebook is far and away the most popular social networking site in the world. It commands a larger user base than the other top social networks combined, including micro-blogging site Twitter and professional social network LinkedIn.

"It's too easy," said Zuckerberg. "I almost want to give back some of this money."

"Haha, just playing," he added.

Reticent about the details of the Facebook-developed Facebook competitor, Zuckerberg did say that it would be cool enough to give Facebook a run for its money but not quite cool enough to surpass the Harvard-born social network in popularity.

Asked about the recently launched Google Plus, Zuckerberg dismissed its viability as a competitor, citing Google CEO Larry Page's age as the overriding factor.

"He's old enough to remember the cartoon Transformers," said Zuckerberg. "How can Larry possibly understand today's social dynamics?"

Google Plus early adopters predict that within six weeks Google Plus will have thirty trillion bajillion users.
