The runways. The gift bags. The celebrities. The after parties.

Fashion Week is so overwhelming!

No, seriously.

Strip away the glamorous veneer and you're left with cattle-call lines, standard 45-minute delays, lack of adequate seating courtesy of sponsor Mercedes-Benz showcasing two cars and so much ego, it's surprising the tents don't burst.

To calm their minds and souls, editors and photographers flock to The Daily Suite, NY Fashion Week's official refuge for the stylish and weary. I couldn't help but get in on the R&R action myself so I popped into the penthouse suite at the Bryant Park Hotel for what was supposed to be a quick 20-minute massage and evolved into a one-and-a-half hour pampering fest.

First I was treated to a delightful hand and neck massage, courtesy of the holistic spa team at Cygalle Healing Spa. Cygalle Dias herself was on hand chatting it up with guests and promoting her divine line of products. You have not lived the good life until you have tried her romance oil. Well, actually you haven't lived the REALLY good life until Cygalle's by-appointment-only, mobile healing sanctuary comes to your home or event to pamper and please your aching bones. There's a reason why her team and her products are requested for backstage pampering at Zac Posen, Charlotte Ronson and Temperley. (Oh, and shameless plug: Cyalle also took part in my last event, the launch of the BagTrends.com Arm Candy Party.)

After the massage, I walked over to Christo of Christo Salon, who specialized in making curly hair happy and healthy, did my hair once for an event and it was the best I've ever looked. Naturally, I had to go for a long overdue round two. I emerged 30 minutes later a new woman!

Finally, if was off to makeup! Umm, this must be what it's like to be a fabulous actress with a glam squad. Ah, big dreams! But I digress. So, makeup came courtesy of Jane Iredale, the first full makeup line on the market to offer not just color enhancement but also benefits to the skin. From the powder to the eyeshadow, everything went on soft and didn't cake even after 12+ hours of work and partying.

With a massage, hair and makeup I was off and ready for another day of the glamorous life: the runways, the gift bags, the celebrities, the after parties...
