Right-wing pundit Bill O'Reilly went on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Friday night to promote another book that nobody cares about. He complained about the liberal media twisting his words around to make him look bad, but he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Watch the clip below and decide for yourself. O'Reilly and Hannity: same roots, same narrow-minded views. what a surprise! They have traction because the provincial Long Islanders and other white, corporate slaves never look at the boss as the cause of their misery. Somebody's gotta be scapegoated. The grammarian O'Reilly provides that scapegoat and it's always people (blacks, liberals, Iranians, Iraqis) who have nothing really to do with the problems those listeners face. If people didn't swallow this stuff whole, you'd think it was concocted on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Did O'Reilly try to get Jay Leno arrested for being "feisty" like he talked about last week?

My sister-in-law works for Fox News and has met O'Reilly. She describes him as one of the most bitter, paranoid men she's ever met. Plus, his office now looks like a Vienna boys choir because Fox won't let him hire any more female assistants. They don't trust him not to expose them to another multi-million dollar lawsuit.

Wow, a real life Bill O'Reilly fan! Are you so seriously unaware of his history or does he speak for you? If you're merely ignorant, no problem, an infusion of truthful information can fix that. Hint: don't try to find it on Fox. If he speaks your language and supports what you find reasonable there's no reason to have any fruther dialogue with you. I'll keep fighting for equality, you just keep on holding onto your unearned position of material superiority.

Not a fan of Bill, but a supporter of real truth, fairness and justice, not the false presentations and propaganda that you can find everyday on Fox and Huff&Puff.

There are many places that are filthy and unhealthy to eat. Stating that he was impressed by an eatery is a compliment. Take it as one. Bill is not a devil any more than is the owner of this blog. In fact they have much in common.

What is said about good old Mr. Loofa-Reiley is true. He does hate blacks. He hates lots of different people. He doesn't just come out and say so because he's a liar.

Though the truth is out about him now, the "Weasel Left" As Bill-O called it, could lie about him for ten years, and it wouldn't come Close to the volume of deceit that he has harmed America with. He claims there are people set to destroy him for telling it like it is, when that's what HE'S been doing the entire time. Bait and switch. His is an army of the gullible and prideful. A terrible combination. Junkies, addicted to cruelty.

There's too much information available out there about him now, so anyone still defending him is just like him, and should be given the same level of regard. They are also dishonest, bigoted cowards. It's why they still watch him to this day.

The Hater-Throng's time to be identified as evil has arrived. It will suck for them now, in a way they are not intellectually prepared to confront, because they're not smart enough. In spite of the fact that Bill has told them they are.

I really wish I could agree with your main point, gettysburg, but I can't. It would be nice to ignore these folks, since they really only ever preach to their own choir and don't deserve any extra publicity, as you say, but the BS and the memes they repeat ad nauseum eventually take root and wind up getting spread back through the MSM- just like the anonymous "Obama is muslim" e-mail crap. I think it's necessary to keep hammering on these folks so that the story is always about how they keep shoving their feet in their mouths, instead of whatever talking point they are actually trying to forward.

That said, I don't think a video this ham-handed really helps that.

Bruupo, I agree. And speaking of these brilliant right-wing logicians shoving their feet in their mouths, did you hear Hannity the other night trying to speak intelligently about Al Gore's Peace Prize? It's funny to watch Hannity convince himself that he knows what he's talking about. First he says it's a worthless prize, then he follows that statement by saying that the U.S. Military actually deserves the prize. I didn't know a Repug could speak so disparagingly about the military. Somebody should explain to the poor guy what a syllogism is. A classic example of "open mouth, insert foot." Ole Bill here should get together with Hannity and Vicodin-Rush for their version of "The View." This clip was funny, but eventually people will let up on Bill because he's too easy a target: he doesn't know that he doesn't know.
(p.s., indirectly related, check out the "Family Guy" episode where the Griffins move to Texas. Hilarious at every turn!...mostly cuz it was spot on.)
