Michelle Bachmann rose to national attention with her call for the news media to conduct an investigation of Congress for un-American policies. She need have looked no further than her own cloakroom and her own voting record.
What could be more un-American than promoting the offshoring of American jobs?
Yet, that is what Republicans favor. They voted to allow companies to deduct from their taxable income the expenses of offshoring jobs and, for good measure, of shipping equipment overseas.
It would be one thing if only the whackomeister Michelle Bachmann voted for it.
But, sadly, that is not what happened.
The entire Republican Party voted for it, including the purported Speaker to be, John Boehner, the major supporter of Nazi cross-dressers running for Congress.
Although I hear Democrats saying something about all this, it certainly is not very forceful. It is not clear and concise. It gets all muddled with other words good for policy wonks, but not that touch peoples' guts.
The Republican Party favors sending your jobs offshore. They favor a global labor market, driving down the cost and power of labor. They cheerfully toast the screwing of the middle class. It drives up their profits, their wealth, their power. It is anti-American.
A vote for any Republican is a vote to send your job to a foreign country. That is why business is buying the election for Republicans.
That should be closing argument #1. The images: (i) George Bush speaking to the black-tied, bejeweled dinner calling them "his base", then becoming Joe Barton apologizing to BP; (ii) American factory workers walking out of their plants, (iii) the white-haired gent who runs the Chamber of Commerce with a list of their foreign contributors, (iv) foreign workers walking into their plants.
Period.

As you can see above, I deal with this on a personal level all the time. It is simply amazing how something that can do so much destruction is embraced simply because it benefits a small minority. A minority that also happens to have the most cash. What a coincidence.
I bet if I could circumvent national laws and hire slave labor I'd be able to cut my competitors throats too. Darn it, then I'd have to invest in a lifetime of sleep aids to live with myself. Oh well.
Let's just get Jack Welch in there while we're at it.
It could be no worse than this... sigh
Our owners and masters have no responsibility toward us or, for that matter, to the country. They do respond to the "bottom line", to shareholders' desire for maximum return on investment, so that said shareholders can live large without working...Well, I guess we'd all like to do that, so it's all right...and we're all going to win the lottery and get very rich, so we wouldn't want to take away any of the rights of the very rich, would we? Because we're going to be them...in our dreams...
The people responsible here are parasites on our society. They create nothing. We don't need them and considering the damage they do to us, we shouldn't tolerate them.
They think of themselves as the "best and the brightest", but we've yet to see any evidence of that...
It's time, and more than time, to dispossess the lot of them, run corporate America for the benefit of the country and it's people, not for the 1% who "own" it...
"The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching plan, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole...Their secret is that they have annexed from governments, monarchies, and republics the power to create the world's money..."

Tell me what do you know about farming, welding, working on cars, driving trucks, ranch work, have you ever gotten your hands dirty working for a living ? Or have you just gone to school and gotten a job that for some unknown reason makes you think you have the right to know more than the rest of us ?
p.s. yes, I've worked on cars. Couldn't do it on modern cars, too much training I never had required.
The author's visual ad plan is spot on. If the Democratic party would crank that ad out and run it alone until election night they would do themselves more good than anything else. Hang job off-shoring around their necks like a rotten, stinking albatross and with GWB's smirking face on it.
Hurry up guys! There might be just enough time to save the country.
That they are all that, while somehow convincing millions of people they are the opposite - it is evil, pure evil. One can feel sympathy for the sheep led to slaughter; they never had a chance against that kind of evil. Did they have to take the rest of us down with them?
