I just read a new book called Right Is Wrong. Heard of it? It really is a brilliant book and the author is gorgeous!
After I finished it I sat down and wrote this song. Then I got up and shot the video. Then I sat back down and started rereading the book with a highlighter.
Here is "Right Is Wrong" inspired by the fabulous new book....

That was good stuff! I'd love to see the video tweaked a little-- y'know, spent a little too long on the street corner and the clip of Bush unable to find the exit from the stage-- but on the whole, enjoyed it!
Good song, though he sounds like a more competent Bob Dylan.
Great song, video, production - everything.
Too bad we'll never hear it on the Corporate-Owned Radio. Maybe Air America?
Great Music, Great Words.... Just Plain Great!
Hey I like the song! As I was watching the faces of the various members of the Bush Administration I couldn't help but thing of the Three Stooges, but, "no," I thought to myself, "more like The Fifteen Stooges." What a bunch of incompetent ninny's these folks have turned out to be.
meh. Not much of a fan of country music, but if your tune can convince a few rural, working class whites to vote for their economic interests instead of being bamboozled by the GOP, then more power to you.
One tiny suggestion: If you have the time to remix your song, lose the cheesy trombone/tuba bass sample. It sounds really, really fake and detracts from the production value. Replace it with a round Fender bass, or similar.
Wow! Loved the way you showed how Bush literally *orchestrated *everything that is wrong about the Right. Great job!
awesome song and video. loved it.
Thank you, Paul, for writing an engaging song to Speak Truth ~ To Power ~ about the current power. VERY well done!!! I loved it, too!

Wonderful song! Thanks Paul.
I haven't yet read "Right is Wrong", but it reminds me of a poem I wrote with a similar title:
RIGHT OR WRONG
"My Country, right or wrong?"
It might be the title of a song.
But for our people to be strong
They need to know what's right, what's wrong
Defending our Country is our absolue right
But imposing our will - based on our might -
Declares to the world that "Might makes Right"
It puts our armed forces in an undeserved plight
As they ponder the instinct: Fight or Flight
As a Sitizen, what is my task?
As a Patriot, it's my duty to ask
As a Veteran, I will not only plead -
I will demand of those elected to lead:
What business have we in launching attackts
Based on suspicion, not founded in facts?
"Actionable intelligence" must bear correlation
To hard evidence with proven corroboration
Before launching any pre-emptive - invasion
We need hard proof, not just a persuasion
That the threat is more than a handy excuse
To sanctify our own "righteous" forms of abuse.
To question a leader who acts like royalty
Is our daily imperatve, of utmost loyalty -
To our country, its people, and its laws
And to our culture, with all of its flaws
But especially to those who've answered the call
Because "All gave some, and some gave ALL".

BRAVO, I LOVE THE POEM and couln't agree with you more!!!!
Thank you for that insightful poem...I think it is time for all Americans not to only to honor Veterans but to listen to them! I had two brother's who served in Nam. Both write poetry. From their poems I have learned first hand the horror of war. As citizens we can become too hasty to go to war but Veterans never seem to be in a hurry to go fight in wars that are unnecessary or unjust. We need to listen...we need to know the cost...and it is hard to know if you have never been a soldier.
Personally I oppose war completely but I have changed my position on the draft, I now think we should have a draft and have one that does not allow exemptions for the rich, powerful and elite. It seems to me that the only way to bring prudence to eager politicians who are ready to go to war at a drop of a hat but are not ready to send their daughters or sons, is to send their daughters and sons.
excellent!
Great song and yes Ariana is beautiful.
having trouble trying to find the book.
sold out everywhere i go.
Shouldn't be hard to find. I don't see it anywhere on the NYT bestsellers list...

Love it!!
Paul, great work again. Love it - tune, lyric, visuals, editing, performance. I give it a 9.5.
The problem I have with all your examples in the song is where the fuck was the left? Are you to say that the left was right? It is easy to succumb to the feeling of belonging to a team, but the left and the right are just as responsible for the lead up to the War, the War itself, and the current position we are in. A man is not a failure until he blames his faults on someone else - if the left thought the idea of War was such a bad idea, why did they agree? The Bush Bashing is a clear sign of a failure to accept any responsibility for ones own actions. The only "team" worth belonging to is Team "Common Sense". One would be misled to think that One man runs the United States of America, it is us, the people, with a series of checks and balances, that runs the Country, our leaders - we selected on Both Sides Left and Right let us down. Anyone using Bash Bush Propaganda to further a "teams" position on the field, fails to serve the current situation we as Americans find ourselves in, a mass failure of our government and massive corruption in both political parties. I don't think we need change, I think we need to grow the fuck up and start solving problems together and stop blaming one party, but starting holding both accountable. From a Ron Paul Republican
Gifts,
I agree, with you but I take exceptions to your vile language used to express yourself.
This type of expressions does not make us powerful, but has a tendercy to keep others
from hearing us when we have something important to say and it is also one of the
many reasons we are in the mess we are in.We have no respect for ourselves and
others,therefore no one respects us.
However,Ron Paul was not the only one against the war, but the majority ruled for
"LACK OF THEIR COMMON SENSE".You must sit and examine and ask yourself
what part did I played in electing the president and why? Then all who voted
Repulican in the 2000 election bares a very large amount of blame, why?
1)You were decieved by him and those who portrayed him as this CHRISTIAN
REDEEMER.
2)The Democrats had done a very good job in running the country, but the GREED
of the Repulicans not to share and care,(one of the requirements of JESUS
for a Christian)for those that are less fortunate shaped your dicision to vote a man
in office that was hell bent on revenge.
Third and final,a Christian knows that one must be very careful and prayerful of
what you ask for -YOU JUST MIGHT GET IT,so suck it up and do the right thing:
"PUT YOUR TRUST THIS TIME IN GOD" if you know how.
Defeat and Retreat '08
Modern Democrats and their submit at all costs to the will of despots everywhere philosophy are utterly disgraceful.
Enjoy your lives sucking up to Hezbollah, Hamas and Chavez.
We just suck up to despots. Republicans ARE despots.
