Dueling Comic Strips
In today's paper, a right-leaning comic strip, Prickly City, features Howard Dean saying to a little girl, "Not one Democratic congressman took money from Jack Abramoff!!!" She replies. "Chairman Dr. Dean, at least 80 Democrats took money from Mr. Abramoff...."
Dean: "And that's not one Democrat, now is it?!!! AARRRRGGGH!"
Little girl: "And you call the president a liar."
On the same page (literally, not figuratively), a left-leaning comic strip, La Cucaracha, features an editor telling an artist to "make me an editorial cartoon on the Abramoff money scandal."
The artist: "The Republican bribery scandal?"
The editor: "Nooo! The scandal where Abramoff gives illegal cash to Democrats too."
The artist: "Even though he didn't."
The editor: "Don't give me facts. Give me opinion!"
