This summer Motorola plans to launch the Moto 360 Smartwatch, and it will be full of nifty gadgets and high-tech tricks. It will be able to hail a cab, give directions and send and receive messages. With it, we'll also be able to lift our arm and be greeted with the time of day by a Suri-like voice.

I'm grateful for inventive minds across the board. I'm reminded of Albert Einstein and his fascination with the compass. He was intrigued by the energy powering the compass, and Einstein spent his life unraveling curious mysteries like this one.

Curious minds are behind all the high tech wizardry like Google Glass, the latest smartphone and now the smartwatch. I am a fan of the latest gadgetry, even though I joke it will take us one step closer to the Borg, the Star Trek species who are part human, part machine.
