The reason I ask is because I noticed something alarming the other day.
Here's the backstory:
I know a woman who is too preoccupied to smile.
When she isn't rushing around with her to-do list, she's harping about the items left undone.
But the other day I noticed something remarkable. She took a reprieve from the rushing and complaining and let her face well up into a smile - no not a fleeting, surface smile - but a deep-creased radiant smile that lasted for an entire conversation.
Frankly, I didn't recognize the woman.
Then it occurred to me - I wonder if I look like an entirely different woman when I smile.
Are you too preoccupied to smile?
