6 Ways To Make A Lasting Impression

When I first came to Dale Carnegie Training, I had no idea of the passion and commitment I would find among employees as well as current and former customers. As we approach our 100th year anniversary, I'm proud to be a leader at a company that has evolved from one man's belief in self-improvement into an international performance-improvement training company that has serviced some of the most influential business leaders in the world, including those at 400 out of the Fortune 500 companies. As Dale Carnegie Training continues to evolve we are pleased to offer programs and private, in-house solutions that emphasize practical principles and real-world challenges. In fact, one of the biggest real world challenges facing executives today is how to use new digital platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, blogs, etc. We believe that, with this updated advice, our customers are able to gain a competitive advantage. I look forward to seeing the ways that our founder's timeless principles, first penned in 1936, will assist in the path to success for all readers, current and former class members, and those dedicated customers that we at, Dale Carnegie Training, have been privileged to serve.

By nature we are all most interested in ourselves more than in others. But, in order for our followers to trust us we cannot just self promote. The person who is the most well-read online, whether it be a Facebook status update, a tweet, or a blog post, will be that person who is paying attention to what their followers are talking about on a daily basis. In the end, by taking a vested interest in other's interests this will increase our power and influence in the digital sphere.

This is a great summary of Dale Carnegie Training. I have benefited from his book "How to make friends and influence people" and am building a business around one of his principles - Remembering names. The interesting part is that I have an Indian name and live/ work in the US. Most of my conversations start with "How do you pronounce your name". I feel that even if my US contacts want to remember my name, it is not easy for them.

So I created a website audioname.com that allows people to record their name in their own voice and add a link to it from their email signature, linkedin and other social profiles. This gives others a chance to hear my name even before they meet me - my introductions have become a lot smoother. Audioname.com is a free website.

A lot of my friends, family, contacts are benefiting from it so please feel free to use it if you find that the people you interact with have difficulty remembering your name.
