STOP BEING A MARTYR!!!

A common excuse many people make for not taking care of themselves is that they are too busy taking care of others. Whether it's their spouse, their children, their workplace, etc., they justify neglecting THEMSELVES in exchange for their caring for others.

While this may seem like a noble gesture, it is merely a means of SELF SABOTAGE!

This does NOT mean that you should NOT care for others -- If you're a loving husband/wife, parent, etc., it's understandable that you live FOR and around the people you hold dearest...

You WOULD take a bullet for them, and GIVE your life for their's 100 percent of the time...

The problem with taking this method of thinking too far is that YOU will NOT be at YOUR best!

Think about it for a second...

If you're OVERWEIGHT, OUT OF SHAPE, and suffering from DEBILITATING HEALTH conditions due to personal neglect, YOU can NOT POSSIBLY serve the ones that need YOU at YOUR best...

And if YOU are NOT serving them at your best, then isn't YOUR argument for being OVERWEIGHT, OUT OF SHAPE and SUFFERING both physically AND mentally counterintuitive???

To be the best YOU, YOU MUST make time for yourself!!!

Whether it's FOOD PREPARATION, EXERCISE or LEARNING something new, taking some time out of every day for YOURSELF will do the ones YOU love wonders...

YOU will be able to serve them at YOUR best, and as a result, THEY won't have to pick up the BROKEN pieces of YOU when YOU ultimately fall apart from personal neglect.

DON'T be a martyr, my friends. That is all...
