A recent poll by The Hill</em> indicates a 12-point lead of democratic candidate Dan Seals (IL-10) over the republican nominee, Robert Dold. Seals leads 49 percent to 37. Eleven percent of voters are still undecided. It is one of only two districts in the poll where democrats are leading.
This is the third time that Seals is seeking the congressional seat. He narrowly lost previous two elections to republican Mark Kirk, who has joined the senate race.
The race has caught nationwide attention, as audiences look to see if the Democrats can pull out a win.
