Zev Green and I are reviewing the Sony Surround Sound System. The bar is a rather nice all-in-one surround sound solution; it's a sleek design that matches the PS3. I find that it's great for small rooms and is the first solution designed for the Playstation 3.

The Surround Sounds System will retail for $179. These are the featured specs:

  • Propriety S-Factor Pro technology creates the close equivalent of multiple speaker surround sound

  • Four sound fields: dynamic, standard, vivid and stereo

  • Two sound modes: "Night Mode" allows users to hear sounds more clearly at low volume levels, while "Dialog Mode" makes speech and narration during games and movies clearer than your average acoustic system

  • Integrated sub-woofer

  • 2.1 channels

  • 1 optical input, 1 analog input
