Inspired to create something unique from sea waters, Ben Jacobsen is serious about his salt. Upon returning to the States after a stay in Denmark, Jacobsen discovered no one was making a local artisanal salt like the kind he discovered while traveling. After much research and trial and error, Jacobsen hit upon a formula of salt making that brings out the pure essence of the Pacific Ocean in each salt flake.
According to Jacobsen, there are only six flake salt harvesters in the country, and his is the only commercial finishing salt manufacturing operation in Oregon.
