Pro-Israel demonstrators waved Israeli and American flags while Palestinian supporters protested in front of the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles during the evening of Jan. 2, 2009. The protests are so close that you can hear the chants from within his soundproof studio.

I protested today in front of a synagogue. There is a school next door.
