In the Madonna-themed episode of "The Carrie Diaries," viewers finally heard Sebastian Kydd utter those three little words to Carrie Bradshaw: "I love you." Her response? "I want to have sex with you."

In theory, I find it appropriately adorable that the girl who grows up to write a column called "Sex and the City" responds to her high school boyfriend saying he loves her by announcing her desire to have sex with him. However, I didn't really buy it in practice. Though it's clear that each episode takes Carrie one step closer to losing her virginity to Sebastian, I find it hard to believe that AnnaSophia Robb's Carrie would respond with anything other than, "I love you too." But we're one episode away from the finale and "Like A Virgin" is playing in the background, so let's just speed this whole storyline up a bit.

Through her internship, Carrie gets to attend the kickoff party for Madonna's "Virgin Tour," which she decides is the perfect night to sleep with Sebastian for the first time. And just in case you still didn't understand the connection between Carrie losing her virginity after Madonna's "Virgin Tour" kickoff party, the writers gave us one more line to drill it into our heads. "I know Madonna's song might be called 'Like A Virgin,' but after the party I knew I wouldn't be," Carrie said. Yeah, we got it.

The most interesting part of the episode was Dorrit's transformation from looking like an angry goth girl to a somewhat wholesome teenager. She changes her look for Miller, the boy she's seeing from the record store, who told her that she could still be a rebel without looking like one. Though she's wearing a pastel-colored knit sweater and far less eyeliner, she kept her edge by holding onto her hostile personality, which I kind of adore. Donna LaDonna offers Dorrit some sage dating advice, clarifying that sex is just sex (not love) and suggesting she use protection. Dorrit decides she wants to have sex with Miller, and it makes complete sense to me that the sisters would lose their virginity around the same time.

Carrie's dad sleeps with Deb, the woman he's dating (played by Nadia Dajani who played Nina, Aidan's ex-girlfriend, in "Sex and the City") and then proceeds to yell at her after he nakedly runs into her son in the hallway. Mouse fools around with her nemesis Wes in a classroom, unable to deny her growing infatuation for him.

Carrie ends up ditching Sebastian at the Madonna party so she can get a byline in the magazine. She says out loud and through the narration that "her perfect night is not so perfect anymore" and other generic lines about how things aren't going according to plan.

Sebastian flips out on her for turning the night that was supposed to be about them into one that was only about her. Sebastian and Carrie's fight outside of The Plaza was a great because it showed how Carrie is totally unaware of how selfish she can be, but really sad because they broke up. So Carrie doesn't lose her virginity, but Dorrit seems well on her way.

"The Carrie Diaries" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
