Why Is Barack Obama Emailing Scarlett Johansson

Perhaps it's true, power makes men stupid. Why in the world is Barack Obama emailing Scarlett Johansson? In May, Michelle Obama declared in a speech in NC, "I want a President... with some sense." Well... I'm not saying that something untoward was in those emails, but even the hint of impropriety should be avoided at this juncture.

The stain, no pun intended, left by the Clinton years is still fresh in people's mind, so someone with "some sense" running for President should take pains to avoid going down that road, or at least getting caught. Let me see if I have this straight, a young starlet who fashions herself a la Marilyn Monroe, has "thoughtful" internet chat with a Presidential candidate, and giddily reports it to a political website. What part of the Oliver Stone conspiracy theory does Obama (and especially Michelle-a-nator) not get? If this broad ends up overdosing, and is found in bed with her laptop opened to the last email correspondence of the once Presidential hopeful, Bill O'Reilly will not be the only one organizing "a lynching party."

Imagine being just a stones throw away from the white house, having every advantage life has to offer, lauded for your intellect and moral character and throwing it away for fellatio in the Oval office, or a $5,000 a day hooker, or a tap-tap in an airport men's room, or a gay Israeli intern, or your wife's mulatto sister and slave? Who would do such a thing?

I don't think America cares if their leaders have affairs or another life on the side, but most Americans hate hypocrites. All we ask is , Don't go around talking about "prayer circles" and "my strong Christian faith," "restoring dignity," with your pants around your ankles. When are these men going to grow up and stop acting like frat boys? We get it, you're finally getting the attention you never got in high school or before anyone could pronounce your name, that's exciting and thrilling but at least keep a lid on your enthusiasm until at least after your first term in office, even Bill Clinton had the "sense" enough to do that.

I'm torn, on one hand I wish Obama would stop the flirtations, but on the other hand I would love to see Michelle Obama standing by him when he gives his mea culpa speech, then rears up and goes south side of Chicago on live TV. Now that would be change I can believe him. A political wife finally doing what Silda, Hillary, Jackie (Kennedy and Jackson), et al, should have done.

You want a candidate who is in touch with the people but get touchy when he is. If he emails dozens of people to keep in touch with them but none are a female Hollywood star would we be having this discussion? Probably not. Unless someone can come up with a text message between them that is improper, let it go. Of course the right will latch on to this and twist it to their advantage but you cannot go through life looking over your shoulder; it impedes progress.

Even though she is probably just one of many celebrity types who have worked with his campaign, and with whom he keeps open the lines (email) of communication, so that they continue to help out, I'm glad that he's being publically embarrassed a little bit over this one in particular. Hopefully it will be a red flag to him and make him more cautious. Even smart men sometimes need a warning to avoid the very seductive traps that will be lining the pathway from here to the White House and beyond.

I agree. Why the hell is he emailing this lady? It makes him look like he has TOO much time on his hands. Not a good sign for a person wanting to be commander in chief.
