My Comments on Occupy Oakland

Posted: 10/27/11 12:56 PM ET

I shared my outrage and grave concern about the police brutality in Oakland directly with the mayor. My thoughts go out to the injured and especially Scott Olsen . I strongly support the Occupy movement and continue to stand with the peaceful protesters in this struggle for economic justice and equality."

Rep Lee,

Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy schedule to appeal to the masses and try to pick up a bit of political momentum with your faux sympathy.

Sincerely,
Unimpressed

Several days before Oakland unleashed the violent police attack on the protestors a petition was filed to recall Mayor Jean Quan, for a number of reasons unrelated to the protests, among which was her complete inability to deal with the crime problem in Oakland. Given that she would rather waste the time, money, and resources attaching the protestors than dealing with real public safety issues, that recall is likely to occur.

I still can't understand why the residents of Oakland ( my home town, btw )allowed their police chief, a good cop, to quit and she just sat there all waxy-faced with her puppet Asst. Chief Jordan, who's proven to be a mental fur-ball.
