On Thursday, I spoke out against another week of time-wasting by House Republicans. As they prepared to leave on their ninth week-long recess this year, House Republicans turned their attention again toward rigid ideology rather than job creation. Meanwhile, they continue to stall on a long-awaited Transportation Bill that would support millions of jobs. Indeed, in the 18 months since they took control of the House, Republicans "have done little but show that they have no real interest in governing," the New York Times noted today.
