#CIRmeansjobs: Resources

During the month of August, my colleagues and I will be discussing a number of different issues with our constituents. Once we return to Washington and figure out how to elude the ultra-right wing quest to shut down our government, we will engage in one specific debate: whether to allow the 11 million men and women who live in, and contribute to, this country as undocumented workers to come out of the shadows and take part in our economic recovery.

We know that Comprehensive Immigration Reform will create millions of jobs, lower our deficit and inject billions into our national GDP. We must not allow these benefits to go unclaimed if we are going to continue to compete on the global stage. I hope to convince my colleagues in the House of the economic benefits our nation can reap from Comprehensive Immigration Reform, so I have had my staff create a website that gathers all the reports, charts and information about those benefits in one place. I hope you'll take a look at it, and be able to use it in your own activism regarding this important issue:
