Now is an important time for us here at Grupo Salinas as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Azteca. We were recently accompanied by the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, whom I would like to thank for his presence and his words directed to the more than 6,000 employees of Azteca. The president's presence was all the more noteworthy, given his complicated schedule due to the recent developments in the country.

Our commemoration took place in the context of the grave situation in Mexico due to damage from hurricanes Ingrid and Manuel. These storms have affected the states of Guerrero, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz. We have taken action and are coordinating assistance to victims of the storms in these areas.

We have focused the 77th Movimiento Azteca fundraising and awareness campaign to direct resources to the affected communities through the Mexican Red Cross and Nacional Monte de Piedad. At the same time, Fundación Azteca is providing purified water to those left homeless by the floods.

In the meantime, Banco Azteca and Elektra have been instructed to provide remittances to the affected municipalities free of charge.

Through Azteca, we are urging viewers to show solidarity with those needing assistance. In addition, Azteca Noticias news is providing extensive coverage in the areas hit by the disasters, with timely information of this terrible situation.

It is definitely now the time to help and to join forces in favor of those who most need us.

Doing so means contributing to building the country that we want and the cultural change that we strive for. Solidarity, Generosity, and Love for Mexico are our reasons for doing this because united we can do more... much more.
