Parents are teaming with educators across the nation to rally for common-sense education reforms at the Save Our Schools National March on July 30 in Washington, D.C.
Karran Harper Royal will discuss the charter school situation in New Orleans. Karran's compelling and heartbreaking story about New Orleans will encourage you to take action, if you are not already involved. Pamela Grundy of Charlotte, N.C. will discuss the impact on students with the wild expansion of testing underway. This, too, will influence you to become involved in the testing frenzy in your district or state. I will share lessons learned when a large school district in south Florida organized, mobilized and resisted a horrific and detrimental curriculum. The how-tos, the pitfalls and the successes will be addressed in a panel discussion. We are there for you.
