Did you see Barack Obama go on The O'Reilly Factor last night—right into the belly of the beast? While we didn't want Obama to appear on FOX initially, he wisely chose the same night John McCain delivered his RNC speech (the same night FOX received some of its highest ratings) to make an appearance. Talk about stealing the GOP's thunder!
Obama was no doubt trying to appeal to conservative voters, since 88% of FOX viewers voted Republican in 2004. But FOX won't let their conservative base go without a fight. That's why O'Reilly needled and interrupted Obama, trying to get him to simplify many of his answers—a far cry from the softballs O'Reilly lobbed at many prominent Republicans like Rudy Giuliani in the past. And that's why FOX has been attacking Obama with the same relentless smear tactics that they used against John Kerry four years ago. Watch them use the exact same attacks.
Don't let FOX repeat its history of distortions. Send this video to everyone you know! And get a copy to networking sites like Digg as soon as possible. Make sure everyone knows that FOX is always willing to distort, slander, and smear—whatever it takes to advance their conservative agenda.

Once and for all, Fox does not do news. Fox is a right wing propaganda organ much akin to the old Soviet Pravda and Tass. Fox has about as much probity as World Wrestling Entertainment.
We have spent a great deal of time in briging that concept to the fore and refusing to treat Fox with the respect that a real news agency deserves. Now by appearing there, Obama confers credibility on O'Reilly and Fox, and undoes months of hard work. He is not going to reach anyone. Fox viewers are don't recognize truth; they have never seen it. They simply salivate, and agree to march in lockstep like the lemmings they are, and we are back to square one.
Oh and by the way, this constant braying bout ratings has no place in this discussion. Ratings might be useful in judging an entertainment show, (which Fox is) but have nothing at all to offer in judging a news program. A true news agency doesn't go after ratings; it goes after truth!
I'm glad that MSNBC is fighting Fox back. Having both of them makes it FAIR AND BALANCE....hehehehehe
The problem with Fox is not that is a conservative channel. The problem is that they are a source of propaganda for the republican party.
Fox and everyone that sold the Irak war to the American people are as guilty as Bush. They have American and Iraki blood in their hands. They only count the Americans killed because the rest in their view are not worth counting. But Irak is worth 10 billion a month so their cronies can get juicy contracts.
They talk about virtue, honor, patriotism like Rusia and the Kremlin. They sound more communist than conservatives.
Conservatives cry for the unborn, but the human beings that already are on this planet are a fair game. It's ok to kill people because they don't have health care, in a war, oh! and animals too! Let's not forget how ok is to hunt for fun.
They let their party manipulate them, scare them, etc. Makes my stomach hurt...
Since MSNBC is obviously liberal (and of which I'm a big fan), I'm okay with Fox being conservative. If they went after Fox for being partisan, they'd have to go after MSNBC as well. We have a range of news choices. If you want politically biased, watch MSNBC or Fox. If you want news that aims to sell advertising by dumbing down it's content, watch the networks. If you want honest reporting, watch News Hour.
That's a load of crock, and you know it. Point out to me whre MSNBC is leveling attacks like this at McCain and I will agree with you. Until then, I hae to throw the BS flag on this post.
There was nothing wrong with the interview. You people need to get over your fox envy and see what you can do to unscrew KeithO and MSNBC. Now there is a collection of goof balls.
Yeah, O'Reilly and Hannity: "Fair and Balanced". BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Hey, you want your right wingnut BS served up by Faux News? OK by me. Why do you begrudge me news from a place like MSNBC??
The article isn't critiquing the O"Reilly interview. Watch the video and then you may get the point the author is trying to make.
